A burger is just an amazing creation of humans. And if you add a little smash action on top of that, with some caramelized onions, bacon, and some sauce...I swear someone is kissing the sky. Enjoy the recipe.
Serving Size: 2-3 burgers
Ingredients:
Burger Marinade
- 1.5 lb of 80/20 beef (Should get you 6 balls)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3/4 tbsp kosher salt
Burger Sauce:
- 4 tbsp of Mayo
- 1/2 tbsp of pickle juice
- 3/4 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp siracha
- 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- Squeeze of 1/4 a lemon
- pinch of salt
Caramelized Onions
- 2 large white onions
- 2 tbs of oil
- 1/2 tbs of sherry
- Salt
Other Ingredients
- 1 packet of bacon. Whatever you like is fine.
- 6 slices of Cheddar Cheese
- 3-4 Brioche buns
- 1/4 stick of butter
Directions:
Hollandaise Sauce Directions
- Add all the ingredients for the beef marinade and mix.
- Create some balls a little larger than a golf ball and let in sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Add all the ingredients together for the burger sauce and mix till you have a smooth consistency.
- Get a pan on low and add in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add in your sliced onions and a nice pinch of salt. Keep sautéing till you have a golden and slightly burnt edges.
- When fond is starting to stick to the bottom (about 30 minutes) of cooking the onions, add in your sherry. This will take about 45 minutes - 1 hour.
- Bake your bacon ad 375 F for about 15-20 minutes.
- Butter to a new pan and toast the inside of your brioche buns.
- Cut up some lettuce.
- Get your burger meat out from the fridge.
- Get a pan on medium high heat and smash your burger down. Use a spatula or a burger smasher.
- Salt and pepper one side and add on some burger sauce on top of seasoning.
- Flip after 2 minutes or crust of burger start turning dark.
- Add cheese onto the new side and cover.
- As soon as cheese is melted (30 seconds -1minute) remove and stack your burgers.
- Plate the burger starting with the bottom bun, a little burger sauce, your burgers, bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, and some more burger sauce and top bun.
