A great topping and addition to almost anything savory to give it a hint of sweetness. Works wonders for things like pancakes and waffles, and it will blow your mind when putting it on some fried chicken. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbs of bourbon
- 1 cup of maple syrup
- ½ tsp of chili powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tbs butter
Method:
- Add bourbon to cold pan and turn up the flame to medium/medium low and cook out all the alcohol. You can use the flame test but be careful.
- Add in your butter and cook till all the butter has been melted
- Add in your maple syrup and cook for 1 minute
- Add in your chili powder and vanilla extract and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes or until well incorporated.
- Turn off the flame and let it sit for 15 minutes before using to make sure it thickens up.
