Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo is a classic whole being a warm and comforting meal for anyone that loves pasta. And the best part, it is so easy to make! You can have a delicious meal in under 30 minutes!
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 shallots
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1.5 cups of Parmesan
- 1/2 box of fettuccine
- 1/2 lb shrimp
- 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2-1 tbsp of oil (shrimp marinade)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Boil water and add in salt. Add pasta till al dente.
- In a separate mixing bowl, mix shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and oil.
- Mince garlic and shallots. Grate Parmesan and keep on the side.
- Get a pan on a medium heat, add in oil and sear shrimp for 2 minutes on each side.
- In the same pan on medium heat, add in butter and sauté garlic and shallots.
- After garlic and shallots are fragrant, add in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes or until combined.
- After combined, turn the flame to low and add in parmesan. Mix well till fully combined and smooth.
- Salt and Pepper to taste. This is a good time to taste and adjust your sauce. Feel free to add more Parmesan here if you like as well.
- Add in shrimp and pasta into the sauce and mix while flame is still low so the sauce can stick to the pasta.
- Optional: Add in some pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Mine was fine but this is an option to loosen up the sauce.
- Top with parsley and serve.
- Enjoy
Note: At step 8 when salting, remember you have more salt coming in from the pasta and shrimp. Do not over salt here.

How much butter?
Hiya…so I’m lactose intolerant and probably about to ask a sacrilegious question but can I omit the cheese? I’ve got a non dairy substitute for the cream. Thanks!
